Awakening 2000 is the name of a five year strategy of the Australian churches working together to reach out to the Australian community by focusing the core meaning of Christian faith in the season from Easter through to Pentecost.

Global March for Jesus

In 1994, 250,000 Aussies took to the streets in over 50 cities and towns across the country, joining more than 10 million Christians in 170 countries for the first Global March. The BBC covered the event in a world-wide TV documentary. This year, on the 2 5th May, 12 million people take to the streets, marching at 2pm in their country’s time zone to create the largest street carnival in world history.
