As we come to the last Easter of the twentieth century, Christians at Resurrection Sunday Marches across the country, will come to remind the nation that the Easter message alone holds the key for individuals, nations and civilisations as they deal with the past and find hope for the future.

The 1999 Reclaim Easter celebration lays the foundations for the most significant series of opportunities and events that the Christian Church is likely to encounter in this nation. As Christians celebrate the momentous events that took place almost 2000 years ago they will:

• Launch an exciting media network that is capable eventually of bringing the Christian message into every home.
• Engage in a process of Reclaiming Christmas outreach events during '99 and 2000 as a way of reminding our communities whose birthday the millennium celebrates.
• Determine to pray and prepare for the moment when the world will come and visit our land and make plans for the Awakening / Quest Australia - More than Gold Olympic Outreach Festivals.
• Demonstrate that they not only want God to be in the Preamble to the Constitution, but they want Him to be celebrated and recognised, as Australians choose their nation's future.
• Prepare to march with nations across the world as part of the Global March for Jesus in the Olympic Stadium - June 10, 2000 in "Celebrating 2000".

In building for the Millennial outreach Christians from across Australia are invited to join the March in their town or capital city on Easter Sunday (April 4th).

The march will begin at Parliament House in West Perth at 1pm on Easter Sunday the 4th of April, and will proceed into Forrest Place for a time of celebration and praise. This year the march will be led by a Salvation Army Band and brothers and sisters from across the Globe bearing the flags of their nations. The program will conclude at around 4pm.

It would be a shame if we missed our prophetic moment to shape the way the Millennium is celebrated. It would be a shame if when the community was celebrating the Olympic opening, the Christian church stayed at home and watched it on TV".
