Rediscover community; Rediscover faith; Rediscover Jesus!

Australia was noted as the first truly secular society by historian and sociologist, Bishop Bruce Wilson. Yet today 69% of Australians call themselves Christian. Ours is the only Western democracy in which the Christian church is not losing ground…

For 15 years people from all Churches have made sacrifices and joined hands to “reclaim Easter” reminding the nation of its meaning.

This year, with the world in turmoil and cultural collision on every hand, will you choose to rediscover community; to rediscover your own faith and to rediscover Jesus?

Be at the Easter March, on Easter Sunday, 4th April.

Cross generational, multi cultural, multi denominational

Bring your picnic lunch to enjoy during the festival from 12.00pm. Preparation Rally at 1:20pm

The Easter Marches are a joint project of the churches of Australia with the support of Fusion Australia and Schools in Harmony.

They are an ongoing expression of the Aussie Awakening.

Easter Festivals

Family festivals bringing the whole community together for a free fun filled day.
An Awakening Easter Festival brings Christians and churches in the area together to reach the community.

Usually in a local park, creating the Open Crowd, with a sausage sizzle, stage with local artists, refreshments, kids craft, giant jigsaws and other giant games.

Then each half hour telling the Easter story in an Aussie parable, such as Simpson and his donkey along with donkey rides, or the Sunflower story ("unless a seed falls to the ground and dies ..."), along with simple craft making Sunflowers with children, and ladies dressed as Granny Smith handing our our unique Aussie apple while the story is being told.

There's lots of ideas to use, and Awakening has printed some handy Mission Manuals that can help, as well as printed balloons and the Aussie Easter parable story brochures (including Simpson, Sunflower and Granny Smith)..... and usually there's new ideas at each festival!
